Hi Sue,
I just received my newest photos and had to share one of Archie with you. His
temperament never fails to delight me! We had him tied on our back porch so that
he could watch my hubby in the garden as well as my son mowing the lawn. We
got some company and they approached him, without any of us right there, well, he
was so happy to see these strangers ( to him they were strangers) he piddled on the
porch, wiggling all over as he waited to be petted. I loved it. I truly do have hopes
of Archie being a therapy dog, and his current puppy kindergarten teacher is trained
as a therapy dog instructor. Hopefully, we are on the right track.
Archie is the star student at puppy classes, as he demonstrates how to walk on a
leash, with his face watching me for instruction, moving as I move. When we
practice come when called, he joyfully bounds back and forth between my
daughter and me as he hears his name, never any hesitation! Mamma Sue, you
would be so proud of him! He had his first full hair cut the other day, it is getting
hotter here and the coat on his back was getting thick. I hesitated trimming him,
but he looks so handsome now and his coat is even softer! He seems attracted to
the bees as they hover around the clover in our yard and would love to investigate
in the field behind our house after the farmer has spread his manure! Both of these
activities could get him into trouble!! Well, enough for now enjoy the picture and
don't forget about the Dog Grooming Expo in Hershey in September!
God Bless you Sue, with puppy kisses from Archie,
Kathy

Archie~
Hi Sue,
Just to let you know that we arrived home this evening around 8:30. I
know that it has been a long day of traveling for Archie ( we've finally
decided on this name) and for you as well. He is just soooooo
handsome! When I saw Christine coming to us with this puppy in her
arms, I thought it was just too good to be true! What a blessing from
God! He slept most of the ride home in my daughter, Katie's arms. She
was in heaven and of course was kissing his ears. He is so sweet! We
received all of the goodies from you, thank you very much. Both
Christine and I were taking photos galore! You will get some soon!
Well, I must go, I hear a puppy crying!
With hugs and blessings to you,
Kathy
It was so nice of Christine and Brian to bring Archie to Kathy, Jim and their daughter, Katie, when whey picked up their two little girls from me! They are like angels! May God bless you all for many, many years of happiness and joy!

Hi Sue, Please enjoy the pictures that I am sending to you of Archie. He is
such a ham with the camera. Archie was at the vet the other day.
He weighs 8lbs 2 oz and he is such a very good boy for the vet. I am amazed
our smart he is and at the same time how stubborn he is! I suppose that he is
just trying to fit in as they say that us Berks Countians are a stubborn bunch
of Pennsylvania Dutchmen!
As you can see, he is trying to be socialable with our 11yr old kitty. She is
just starting to warm up to this new intrusion into HER life! We still hear the
hissing and growling though, but Archie will stop cold and walk away! I
suppose that Miss Kitty is succeeding!
We hope that you all are doing well and pray for a healthy new litter to arrive
very soon!
Sending our hugs and kisses! ( forgive our worm-breath as Archie was
licking a huge earthworm that he found in our driveway, he was excited to
watch it wiggle as he licked it, so maybe we'll just send hugs!)
Mr. Archie and Kathy

Hi Sue, Just thinking of you and thought we'd send you a little update on our
boy, Archie. He is doing extremely well, and has doubled in size since we have
him. He visited the vet the other day and he is pleased with his progress.
Archie is just such a joy, he has calmed down within recent days and will
contend himself with chewing on his toys instead of the shoelaces of my
hubby's shoes! He was at Rita's ( a chain that sells Italian Ice) and was given a
small dish with icecream and a dog treat, well, he was in heaven, licking the
icecream off of the doggy bone. My daughter said that he could have done a
milk commercial as he had a little white mustache!
We hope and pray that all is well in Wilson, New York and both litters that you
are loving now are growing nicely Praying for you and the health and safety of
your family.
God Bless,
Kathy

We just can't believe that Archie will be One Year Old tomorrow!
We wish all of the other lady doggies in Archie's litter Happy
Birthday, especially Sophie and Katie. Sue, I'll bet you cannot
fathom all of the love that your gorgeous cocker spaniels bring into
homes across this great nation. I was watching bits and pieces of
some dog show the other night and they were acknowledging
great breeders and I was looking for you! I'm sure that anyone
with one of your sweet babies would want you up there on a
pedestal for all of the hard work that you do to provide us with
such even tempered cockers! Thank you Sue, from the bottom of
my heart as Archie has brought so much into our home, love,
kisses, new faces through the dog classes, and lets not forget the
exercise, just to name a few.
Archie has grown into such a fine dog. The trainer said that he
has great expectations for Archie as a therapy dog when he is a
bit more mature. The need is so great for these dogs and it will
be interesting to see at what capacity he will be able to help fulfill
that need. Of course we owe everything to God's Glory and what
an honor it would be to be a "Lutheran Therapy Dog", visit with the
shut-ins, visit with the Sunday School classes, visit members who
are in the hospital or even those suffering the loss of a loved one,
maybe even come to worship service with us. The Lord will lead
us in the direction where He feels we are needed.
God Bless you Mamma Sue, we love you!
Archie sends his kisses to you even if he did have his head in the
kitty litter box!!!!
With Love and Peace to you,
Kathy
